Summary:

From Jay Asher, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Thirteen Reasons Why, comes a romance that will break your heart, but soon have you believing again. . . .
Sierra's family runs a Christmas tree farm in Oregon—it's a bucolic setting for a girl to grow up in, except that every year, they pack up and move to California to set up their Christmas tree lot for the season. So Sierra lives two lives: her life in Oregon and her life at Christmas. And leaving one always means missing the other.

Until this particular Christmas, when Sierra meets Caleb, and one life eclipses the other.

By reputation, Caleb is not your perfect guy: years ago, he made an enormous mistake and has been paying for it ever since. But Sierra sees beyond Caleb's past and becomes determined to help him find forgiveness and, maybe, redemption. As disapproval, misconceptions, and suspicions swirl around them, Caleb and Sierra discover the one thing that transcends all else: true love.

What Light is a love story that's moving and life-affirming and completely unforgettable.

Review:
I absolutely loved this book. It was so easy to get sucked into the story and connect with the main character, Sierra, falling in love. Sierra falls for someone within a month after not being interested in anyone or searching for a love interest. Sierra was in no rush to find a love interest but when she found it, she starts to fall quick and deep. I feel I was in the exact same position as Sierra and when I did find someone who I was interested in (and thankfully interested in me just as much), we fell for each other very quickly. I'm aware some people may have issues with this type of love story but I've lived it and can connected with Sierra in that way.

Sierra lives in Oregon on a Christmas tree farm and during the holiday rush she lives in California, for a month, selling Christmas trees with her family for her entire life. With the threat of the family business going Sierra decides to make the best of, possible, the last christmas in California for the Christmas tree family business.

What Light is a great festive easy to read book that I really enjoyed. The characters had to overcome some darker issues but it's still light hearted and great to read during the holidays. The book is quite short, which is great during the busy holiday season.
