Summary:

Five strangers. Countless adventures. One epic way to get lost.

Four teens across the country have only one thing in common: a girl named LEILA. She crashes into their lives in her absurdly red car at the moment they need someone the most.

There's HUDSON, a small-town mechanic who is willing to throw away his dreams for true love. And BREE, a runaway who seizes every Tuesday—and a few stolen goods along the way. ELLIOT believes in happy endings…until his own life goes off-script. And SONIA worries that when she lost her boyfriend, she also lost the ability to love.

Hudson, Bree, Elliot and Sonia find a friend in Leila. And when Leila leaves them, their lives are forever changed. But it is during Leila's own 4,268-mile journey that she discovers the most important truth— sometimes, what you need most is right where you started. And maybe the only way to find what you're looking for is to get lost along the way.

Review:

I loved this book so much. I almost didn’t buy this book because I was so sure it was going to be just another typical YA contemporary but it wasn’t! I’m so glad I picked this book up, it’s so inspirational, a new favourite for sure.

This book is sectioned in five different parts and each perspective is told in it’s own characters’ perspective. I enjoyed that the author kept the little bit of mystery by keeping Lelias’ perspective until the end.

Let’s Get Lost is about Lelia and her road trip across The United States and Lelia meets four great people along the way, which helps Lelia figure something out about herself that she didn’t know already.

We meet:
Hudson – Who is doesn’t know how to stand up for himself and tell his father what he actually wants to do with his life.
Bree – A runway that doesn’t want to face her family problems and rather be homeless and live one day at a time to the fullest.
Elliot – Is in love with his girl next door/best friend and when things don’t go his way Elliot doesn’t know what to do anymore and trying to kill himself.
Sonia – Lost her boyfriend but finds new love within her dead boyfriends family and doesn’t want to lose his family because of this but keeping it a secret is making her lose her newfound love.

I flew through this, it was so fun to read and I had so much fun reading Lelia’s adventure.

I would recommend this to people who like YA contemporaries that incorporate road trip elements. I gave this an easy 5/5 stars! You should read it!
